WHAT IS AMSEP?
AMSEP is the abbreviation of Asian Medical Students' Exchange Program. The purpose of this program is to create more oppurtunities aside from AMSC and EAMSC for Asian medical students to communicate with each other. The program features two major parts: the first, Academic Activities (i.e. visit campuses and hospitals, take lectures with students of the hosting country,...etc.) and the second, Cultural Experiencing (i.e. sightseeing and enjoy local gourmet...etc.)
Participents can get to know different cultures, medical system and medical education of other countries, while the hosting and attending countries strenghten their friendship and look forward to establish further collaborations in the future.
The program normally last 5-10 days. The two countries/univerties will sign a contract indicating the number of participents and when the event will be held. Fees should be paid by the HOSTING country and the content of the exchanging program will also be decided by the HOSTING country.

AMSEP Taiwan
AMSEP originated from 2006, when medical students from Japan and Indonesia came up with the idea to have more communications after conferences. After the success of the first AMSEP exchanging program, a lot of countries began to pay attention to this kind of activities, which led to the increase of countries joining AMSEP. Now, there are 10 countries in AMSEP including Japan, Thailand, Indonesia...etc.
Taiwan took part in AMSEP in 2009 and had exchanges with Malaysia, Thailand and Japan for roughly 7-10 people every program. We plan to extend our programs so we can have more participents and work with more countries. We hope to create more opportunities for Taiwanese medical students and let more Asian medical students recognize the beauty of our homeland.
